Michael Fowlkes is an award-winning writer, producer, and director best known for creating Inside Sportfishing, the highest-rated and longest-running series in the history of Fox Sports West. Over a prolific three-decade career, his work has garnered 27 International Telly Awards and was twice named “Best Fishing Show of the Year” by the Outdoor Writers Association of America. His acclaimed documentary series, The History of Sportfishing, is currently streaming in over 80 countries worldwide.

Beyond his work in outdoor media, Michael has produced original programming for Showtime, The Movie Channel, Paramount Pictures, Disney, and ABC Sports, earning three prestigious ACE Awards. A seasoned educator, he previously taught Film & Television Production as a Professor of Communications at Orange Coast College. Michael is also a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain and a best-selling author of suspense thrillers, including Perfect Bait and The Spa.
